Belly Dancing!
Madam Qadam Oriental Belly Dancing School offers belly dancing classes with babies the spring of 2013! You can either let your baby play while you dance or you can have the baby wrapped on you. The course can be booked as a private session or to smaller groups, such as your maternity group. Read more here.
Yoga
Several places offer yoga for mothers. There is Oslo Mensendieck in Torshov, MamaYoga in Sagene and Tullinløkka, Baby & Belly in Majorstua and Bygdøy, Caia Yoga in Majorstua, PuroYoga at Solli Plass, Leela Yoga in Grønland/Løkka, CentrumYoga in the city centre and probably tons of other places. In Karmababies it´s your baby doing the yoga - in Bislett every Tuesday and Thursday, and in English! Check it out!
Pilates
OK-klinikken at Majorstua organises pilates for new mums on Mondays and Tuesdays. Pilates Room in Vika organizes the same thing every Monday from September 1st.
Fitness training
Sats offers a course for new mothers called Strong Mama. It is offered at the centers at Bislett, Kampen, Nydalen, Sagene and Vulkan. I have not participated in this course myself, but I have heard that it is tough and good workout!
Oslo turnforening organises exercise for mums and babies in Haslehallen on Mondays.
Myrens Sportssenter in Torshov offers the class Mor og Barn for those who want to get back into shape after giving birth. Your baby can come with or you can use the chid care service.
Minibootcamp. Frognerparken, Sankthanshaugen, Ekeberg, Voldsløkka, Bærum. This is intense training for mothers who want to get back in shape after birth. It takes place outside in the park, and the babies are in the strollers or on the grass. NB: Also in winter! Jump Dansestudio also offers bootcamp with stroller!
Snapback is a bunch of mums exercising together weekly, wanting to get back into shape after giving birth.
"Aerobic" in small groups for mums is offered at Ullevål og Tåsen fysioterapi in Tåsen senter every Wednesday.
Basic Treningssenter in Røa offers Mor/Barn-exercise every Thursday.
Mommy and Me in Lambertseter offers various courses for mothers with babies, such as weight reduction classes, dance and zumba, and bootcamp.
Dancing
Danseløvene in Carl Berner offers dance classes for mums on mat leave! It´s a new offer for mums who want to dance their way to better shape and where your baby is present.
Jump Dansestudio offers both child care and bootcamp with stroller!
Wear Your Baby Ballet Class - dance ballet with your baby! Every Tuesday and Thursday.
Wall Climbing!
Klatreverket by the Aker river in Torshov offers child-friendly climbing every Monday 10-12, where you can climb while the little one is in the stroller or crawling around.
Walking (uphill!)
Strolls in Oslomarka. DNT organizes strolls in the forest every Wednesday at 10.30, even in the winter. Some of these are very good workout and it´s a great way to meet other mums! Here´s the program for the fall 2014.
Exercising with childcare
Both Elixia, SATS, Myrens Sportssenter in Torshov and Stamina Hot in the city centre offer childcare from the age of respectively 6 and 3 weeks at certain times of the day, often from early morning until 13:30 and from around 16.00 to 19.30.
